We can honestly say that this has been some of the best quality accommodation we have ever stayed in on holiday, UK or abroad! The website almost doesn't quite do it justice. The surroundings are excellent, with the various walks to Widemouth and along the canal. The fact that you welcome dogs is brilliant and we will be recommending you to friends. By the sounds of it, we have had some of the best weather, with some gorgeous days. But I don't think bad weather would have spoiled it. Location is excellent - we have made it to Padstow, St Ives, Looe and Bodmin. The tea rooms are excellent, and the cake you left for us was delicious! We will definitely be back!
A fabulous week in one of the best cottages we've stayed in. Blessed with some great weather,so didn't use the on-site facilities too much but did manage a daily table tennis mega-tournament. Made to feel very welcome with a truly scrumptious lemon cake on arrival, the facilities of the cottage were more than we'd expected and it soon felt like home. Only ate out 1 night (too much BBQ-ing) at the Bay View Inn - was busy and lucky to get a table so we'd book in the future. Food and atmosphere very good Hope to be back soon!
After our visit last September we knew we would be back. This time we have the in-laws as well as the dog. It has been fantastic.weather sunny everyday. Margo (the dog) thinks that everywhere is her garden and is running about all the time. Fantastic places to visit are: Padstow (less crowded in April) Boscastle (beautiful) Port Isaac, Clovelly (worth the long sleepwalk down). The bay is fantastic. For £2 you can get a land rover back to the top. Summer leave beautiful for dog walking especially early morning or evening. Life's a beach is a lovely restaurant (mainly fish)
We've has a lovely week at Whalesborough Luxury Cottages. The cottage had everything we wanted and the pool and games barn were both enjoyed by us and our son (15 months). The walk from here to the beach is lovely as is the walk along the canal to Bude. The gloomy weather didn't dampen our spirits as the pool and Jacuzzi are just as much fun in the rain. Excellent food at the Weir again and delicious lemon cake on arrival.
Gorgeous cottage - nice to have some luxury, away from home. We loved the walk to Widemouth on our first evening. Was able to take Maddie the dog into the Bay View Inn, which was great! Good job we had a torch for the walk home. Loved the brown dog blankets for the sofas - saved an ongoing battle to try to stop Maddie from climbing up. We'll certainly recommend you to other family and friends with dogs!
