Walking
It’s a walker’s paradise. There are riverside and woodland walks – a great way to be naturally active and we can organise guided walks if you’d like to learn more about the Cornish habitat. The coastal path is easily accessible and offers some good walking areas with spectacular coastal scenery.
Cycling
One of the Sustrans cycle routes runs alongside Whalesborough. Bring your bike or hire one locally and you’ll enjoy miles of cycle routes through beautiful Cornish countryside. The Camel Trail is another great cycling destination. The Camel Trail cycle path follows the line of a disused railway, runs along the beautiful Camel Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge ( approx 6 miles), take your own bikes or hire from the amazingly well equipped Bridge Bike Hire in Wadebridge www.bridgebikehire.co.uk
Bird watching
There are few better places to experience a range of countryside activities. At Whalesborough there is so much to do.
Bird watchers can view some spectacular species as there is a variety of coastal/arable/grassland and woodland habitats as well as the wetland area on Whalesborough.
Fishing
For those who enjoy fishing, bring your own rods and take a day out on the ocean to catch some mackerel or try coarse fishing in the Bude canal or game fishing along the private river bank that runs around Whalesborough.
