We had a brilliant week at Whalesborough. Loved the design of the house, boys loved making new friends at the play park and pool. Lots to enjoy and explore: Clovelly was interesting and had good food at 'The Noops' afterwards. Such a beautiful part of the country, we shall definitely want to return for further adventures.
Having stayed at Whalesborough for Xmas 2013, we decided to return for Xmas 2014. This place is perfect for a relaxing break, with the added benefit of the spa. Dogs loved the beaches and sleep all afternoon. Hopefully will be back for Xmas 2015.
Another fab holiday in Whalesborough. The accommodation was fantastic for all the family, loved daily swimming in the pool. Did lots of walking with our 2 Golden Retrievers. The cottage is so well set up to have the dogs with us on holiday, without any worries. Their treats were gratefully received, having the dog cage allowed us to go out and know they were safe and happy whilst we were not here. The weather was amazing which always helps, but with this bright fresh easy to keep clean cottage, how could we not enjoy. Our African Grey parrot loved sitting by the window chatting away.
Brilliant week, accommodation 5 star and the gym, pool and sauna are well worth visiting daily to relax. Will be back soon. PS: Also The Weir, great food, lovely surroundings. Well worth a visit.
Wow finally luxury with the dogs! Far too old for camping so this suited us very well. Something to keep teenagers, dogs and middle aged parents happy! Great walks and great facilities. Will recommend to others.
Really lovely stay at Whalesborough
- fantastic accommodation and facilities.
- we all loved the indoor and outdoor pools, especially the outdoor jacuzzi under the fig tree.
- lovely even though not the warmest week.
Went mountain biking at Lanhydrock
- really recommend that as free car park and bike hire at a sensible price.
Arundell cottage is beautifully kitted out. The leisure pool and gym were fabulous along with the beautiful canal walks and coastal path. Very friendly welcome. Great location to explore the area. Brilliant for the kids and grown ups. The site itself was beautifuly maintained and luxurious. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family. It is a little find. Wonderful weather and another fabulous holiday in Cornwall.
Last minute booking which worked out very well - really nice to have a brand new and very well equipped cottage with so much light and the weather was much better than expected. We enjoyed the walking with our dog - nice and easy along the canal to Bude or more challenging, but very scenic along the coastline.
Second stay at Whalesborough, second time in a new cottage! Last year we stayed in Chapel Park which was perfect. This year, Arundell at the time of booking was the last available cottage and although we did not require accommodation to sleep six, it proved to be much more spacious and light with a lovely private garden. Once again Whalesborough met all our expectations and despite not having the greatest weather, we still managed to cycle and walk. Marley our dog was once again spoilt! James and Sharron made us feel very welcome. The Weir was as good as ever and the new tennis courts and health club are sure to be great additions. Relaxing holiday, would not hesitate to recommend.
Our first visit to Whalesborough but certainly not the last. Arundell is a perfect place to stay, very clean, modern and comfortable for all the family. As a family we have had many happy hours in the pool, enjoyed the walks with Fergus (our Westie) and the boys enjoyed the park, the fun barn and just being here! The facilities for all ages are excellent. We have visited Cornwall for years but this is a fantastic find. We hope to be back next year.
