Walking Holidays in North Cornwall
Explore the most dramatic sections of the South West coast path - all right on your doorstep ...
The first thing you'll fall in love with is the sheer space you enjoy before even leaving the farm - over 500 acres crossed by lovely paths. Explore our woodland, sit by the lake, walk by the canal or take a dip in our stunning 18m indoor heated swimming pool which is now open along with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi.
There is a fully equipped gym with all the latest Technogym cardio and strength equipment and our new spa with spa treatments is now open.
Then of course you'll be wanting to do some serious walking. First head south towards Millook, Dizzard, Crackington Haven and Boscastle - this is the most spectacular section of the coast path - it really takes your breath away. Then North to Bude and alongside miles of sandy beaches to the dramatic cliffs of Morwenstow and beyond.
Start the evening with a glass of chilled wine and watch the sun go down while you enjoy a friendly meal at the Bay View Inn before a light stroll back to the cottages across the farm. Or grab some fresh fish from our local shop and enjoy your luxury five star quality kitchen.
Cottages sleep between 2 and 11 people and cost from £390 per week.
I had lots of fun in the play barn it was superb!
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage and fabulous surroundings! Hope to return soon!
This place is heaven, the best.
Loved the views, the coastal walks and the local pubs, we recommend 'The Tree Inn' in Stratton. (Excellent food).
I have had an amazing time here at Whalesborough Holiday Cottages again. This is our third visit and I'm sure we will be back again. The weather has been great so we have really been able to use the facilities that are on offer. Feeding the pigs and chickens was fab.
Lovely accommodation which seems to get better each time, good to see the fishing lake open and look forward to seeing future developments. Indoor pool sounds fab.
We enjoyed to pool and all the amazing walks, especially Bude canal and Widemouth Bay. Highly recommend the food at the 'Carriers Arms' good food and reasonably priced. Also the Weir, loved the heaters when we sat outside and The Bay View Inn (Widemouth). We had a lovely Sunday roast at the Bush Inn (Morwenstow).
We've all really enjoyed our week here. The cottage is fantastic, it has everything we could possibly need. Our boys loved the pool and play barn and we all had fun in the evenings with the board games and DVD'S. Great base for exploring the north of Cornwall.
The cottage was beyond our expectations. An amazing place. Pool and games room provided gret entertainment. Had fun in the rock pools at Bude and at Widemouth Bay. Had a fantastic meal at 'The Bush Inn'.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything great and really well thought through. The children disappeared on a regular basis to the play barn and playground which they thought was fantastic.
I really enjoyed this holiday especially the sports barns and swimming pool. The lemon cake was delicious.
Another wonderful stay at Woody Platt. We have enjoyed the beautiful beaches, a great day out at The Milky Way, soaked up the atmosphere at Bodmin Jail and spent an afternoon with gnomes and fairies at the Bradworthy gnome reserve. So much to see and do round about or just staying in and enjoying the play barn and park.
I loved going to the beach and collecting shells and pebbles. A lovely welcome by the Proudfoot's, we loved the lemon drizzle cake. James was always about to dish out his local knowledge. The boys absolutely loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi, we had to go everyday. Amazing food and value at the Weir Bistro. The boys loved the Weir play area and meeting their new friends in the evening in the play barn.
We had a fantastic time, the house was beautiful and even better than expected. Kids loved the garden and being so close to the pool. Enjoyed the recommended chip shop. Summerleaze beach is the best in Cornwall.
