Holiday Cottages near the South West Coast Path

There are many marked paths and rights of way in the vicinity but few are as well known or as incredible as the South West Coast Path. Stretching round the entire length of Cornwall, the section from Tintagel to Bude is one of the most spectacular. Taking in the highest cliffs in Cornwall and taking you to numerous beaches (and pubs!) along the way this is some of the best coastal walking in the UK. But the best thing of all is that the path passes within a few hundred metres of the front door of your 5 star holiday cottage.

Although we are often booked up early it is always worth checking our last minute online availability particularly for half term breaks and Christmas breaks. Walks in Cornwall near Bude

We are spoilt for choice in this part of North Cornwall when it comes to walks. We have fantastic countryside and breathtaking coastal scenery that will take your breath away. The downside is that it's very hard to plan your walking holiday! Do you tackle a stretch of the South West Coast Path; do you spend your time on more adventurous hiking tours or do you gently stretch your legs in the rolling valleys and quiet villages near Bude?

To whet your appetite, here are a few local walks we love:

Morwenstow Circular Walk, Bude
A lovely walk within easy reach of the farm.

Duckpool Circular Walk, Bude
This 5 mile walk takes you into unexplored Heritage Coast.

South West Coast Path Walk: Tintagel to Crackington Haven, Bude
This 12 mile strenuous walk leads you from the mysterious village of Tintagel, through Boscastle and then into Crackington Haven.

South West Coast Path Walk: Bude to Marsland Mouth, Bude
This 10 mile strenuous walk takes you from Bude, past Northcott and Sandymouth and on to Duckpool.

Southwest Coast Path Walk: Crackington Haven to Bude
Follows the rugged coast line along to Millook providing you with a superb view of the whole of Bude bay stretching away to Hartland.

Bude Circular Walk, Bude
A fantastic walk along Bude Canal.

The Planekeepers Path, Bude
The Planekeepers Path follows the route the boatmen took as they tendered their cargoes from Bude to the Thurlibeer Inclined Plane.

The first thing you'll fall in love with is the sheer space you enjoy before even leaving the farm - over 500 acres crossed by lovely paths. Explore our woodland, sit by the lake, walk by the canal, take a dip in the pool.

Then of course you'll be wanting to do some serious walking. First head south towards Millook, Dizzard, Crackington Haven and Boscastle - this is the most spectacular section of the coast path - it really takes your breath away. Then North to Bude and alongside miles of sandy beaches to the dramatic cliffs of Morwenstow and beyond.

Start the evening with a glass of chilled wine and watch the sun go down while you enjoy a friendly meal at the Bay View Inn before a light stroll back to the cottages across the farm. Or grab some fresh fish from our local shop and enjoy your luxury five star quality kitchen.

With ASDA and Riverford deliveries and a lovely cycle or stroll down the canal to great shops in Bude you'll find it easy to forget where you left the car keys.
