Warrens
A Five Star Gold cottage for four on a 428-acre Cornish estate
Where a vaulted ceiling and wrap-around bifolds turn a single storey into something to remember
The vaulted ceiling transforms this single-storey property into something architecturally striking. A cream gloss kitchen with dark granite worktops and island breakfast bar connects to the living area, which opens through wrap-around bifold doors to the enclosed west-facing garden and private hot tub. As a Five Star Gold property, Warrens is matched by full access to the W Club spa, pools, and The Weir Restaurant — all on the estate, all included.
Warrens is designed to surprise. Despite being entirely single-storey, the soaring vaulted ceiling gives the principal living space a scale and drama that most two-storey properties never achieve. The cream gloss kitchen with dark granite worktops and an island breakfast bar sits at the heart of the cottage, flowing naturally into the living and dining areas. Wraparound bifold doors span the rear elevation, flooding the room with light and drawing the eye to the enclosed west-facing garden where the private hot tub waits. Both king bedrooms are en suite, comfortably sleeping four, with cot available on request.
As a guest at Warrens, every day begins with complimentary access to the W Club — the estate’s private spa and leisure facility. The indoor pool holds at a constant 29–30°C, and the outdoor pool opens seasonally. Sauna, steam room and a fully equipped Technogym gym complete the offering. The Weir Restaurant is just minutes away for breakfast or lunch using produce from the working estate. The property is dog friendly, and the estate’s private trails are a short walk from the front door.
Whalesborough is a 428-acre working estate on the North Cornwall coast, a few minutes from the surf town of Bude and the wide golden sands of Widemouth Bay. Private trails run from the cottage door across the estate and down toward the sea, and the South West Coast Path is close in both directions — this is the quieter, less-trodden coast: real Cornwall, without the August queues.
At the heart of the estate, the W Club spa, indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool and The Weir Restaurant are all yours to enjoy. Bude has everything you need — proper coffee, good pubs and a chip shop or two worth the walk — while Tintagel, Boscastle and Padstow are all an easy drive when you fancy a day out.
