Arrive on the 22nd or 23rd

We know it can all get a bit frantic – finishing work, end of term, the list goes on. To make sure you start your holiday as relaxed as you should be, you can arrive on either Friday 22nd or Saturday 23rd December – just pick the date that works best for you.

Stay for 3, 5 or 7 nights

Need to get back to work? Perhaps visit the rest of the family? We want to be as flexible as possible, so if you can only stay for three nights, that’s no problem. Fancy staying for a full week or new year too? We’re more than happy to have you!

For Families

Whalesborough is the perfect place for families to call home this Christmas. We’re close to the coast, set in gorgeous countryside and have great travel links no matter where you’re coming from. If that wasn’t enough, there’s the onsite spa, the restaurant, your own luxury cottage and plenty of areas to play. You’re also within day-trip distance to the rest of Cornwall if you fancy venturing out during your stay.

The Countryside

We can’t overstate how stunning the countryside is around Whalesborough; we think it’s the prefect place to get some fresh air over Christmas and New Year. The walk down the canal to Bude is around three miles, but well worth exploring. If you’re headed in the other direction, then the Whalesborough trail will take you all the way to Widemouth Bay, which is also around a three mile trot. Both are flat, so great for any age or fitness level.

Chiristmas Traditions

We’ve all got family Christmas traditions right? Things we just have to do at a certain time? Have you ever thought of adding a dip in the sea pool to them? This isn’t just any sea pool either; this is Bude sea pool, named as the best in the UK by the Times Newspaper. She may be a bit chilly in December but she’s worth it.

Bring the dog too

If you’re brining the dog with you then they’re going to have as good a time as you do! All of our cottages are dog friendly and come with a doggy welcome pack to make sure they feel right at home for Christmas. The beaches at this time of year are all dog friendly (but do check) and there’s an onsite shower to get that sand off their paws. If you don’t head to the beach, there’s plenty of walks to take and our onsite restaurant is also incredibly popular with dogs.
