Easter arrives early this year, with Good Friday falling on March 29th, and Easter Sunday on March 31st. We think that’s great news – it’s less time to have to wait to eat your Chocolate Eggs – AND enjoy an Eggstra long Bank Holiday Weekend!
This year, there’s so much for families to see and do at Whalesborough and the surrounding areas, so if you’re lucky enough to be staying with us for the entire Easter School Holidays – or are simply popping down for a quick family getaway – there’s plenty to keep you occupied. You may even struggle to squeeze it all in!

Our Animal Feeding Sessions are always special year-round – but at Easter time, they’re particularly special…
With newborn lambs frolicking through the fields, the fluffiest baby chicks & ducklings you ever did see – not to mention the goats, ducks, chickens, pigs and alpacas – you can meet them all and join in on meal times with our Little Farmer’s Feeding Sessions.
Feeding the lambs is especially exciting – you’ll be able to bottle-feed them delicious milk and watch their woolly tails wagging in delight. You can also visit the Chickens at Cluckingham Palace and collect their eggs ready to whip up a hearty breakfast, which will be much needed to fuel your Easter Egg Hunt later in the day…

It wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter Egg Hunt – so get ready for a big one at Whalesborough! With over 500 acres of land to explore, you will certainly get some steps in when endeavouring to discover where the Easter Bunny has hidden those chocolate treats…

Indulge in an Easter Feast at our onsite restaurant, The Weir
Our onsite restaurant, The Weir makes the perfect spot for an Easter feast! As well as serving delicious food at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, The Weir Overlooks our picturesque fishing lake and is complete with a large play area if you’re bringing the kids too.
Using only the freshest ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers AND the Whalesborough Farm itself, Easter Sunday is always a hit with kids, adults and dogs alike (yes – they can come too!)

Milky Way Adventure Park:
Just a 25-minute drive away from Bude is The Milky Way Adventure Park, a multi-award-winning family day out packed with rides, slides, rollercoasters and interactive experiences for all ages.
Save Planet Earth from an incoming meteorite in “Ziggy’s Blast Quest” or experience the “Gravity Rider” – a 200ft long doughnut slide that guarantees fast fun! During the Easter Holiday, the park hosts an array of seasonal activities on top of all of this too!
The Cornish Coastline:
Bude, home to Whalesborough, and its surrounding house some of the UK’s most stunning coastlines… and with the weather slowly but surely warming up as the Easter Holiday approaches, it’s the perfect time for the family to explore them in all their glory, without being overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the upcoming busy summer months.
Grab some comfy shoes and a bottle of SPF (fingers crossed for sunshine!) and delve into the natural rockpools and sandy shores that Cornwall has to offer. We’ve got Widemouth Bay right on the doorstep; a multi-award-winner that’s popular amongst families and surfers alike thanks to its golden sands and rideable waves – and remember to bring along a bucket with you, to keep your rockpool finds safe before setting them free at the end of the day. Will you find shrimp, crabs, or even tiny fish hidden within the Cornish pools?
The Vale of Avalon:
20 minutes down the road lies the Vale of Avalon, home to King Arthur Stone, it’s the perfect escape for adventurers both big and small. The kids can build a den, explore the wooden fort, and learn about the history of Cornwall, whilst the adults can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the peaceful Muse Garden, orchards, and riverside trails.
