This was our first time staying at Jack's House with it's neighbouring rental cottages to suit all sizes of families and also accommodation to include mans best friend the dog. They supplied us with a very large dog crate, dog bedding, bones etc and a very welcoming plate of essentials as we arrived. Jack House has all mod cons and is a fantastic 5 star clean, bright cottage with relaxing surroundings.

on arrival at the cottage we were amazed at the quality it is so much nicer than shown on the website we have stayed at a number of holiday cottages with our dog in the past this is by far the best

Great place to stay as a couple or as a family, dog friendly too. Have stayed a couple of times now & always a pleasurable experience; plenty to do or not to do whatever is your cuppa. Will be back.


The location of these cottages is superb, just a short distance to Widemouth bay, Nan's house - the largest which we stayed in is luxurious and beautifully appointed.

My family and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Whalesborough - and only have one complaint ... we wish we had booked for two weeks! If you are looking for dog friendly accommodation that is of a high standard then this is the place for you. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped and the surrounding area great for long walks and exploration. The location is brilliant - easy driving distance to Padstow, Tintagel and Clovelly, and near several dog friendly beaches. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed in Westcotts with friends for a week and it was absolutely superb. Its within walking distance of the beach, so you don't need a car once you're there - days were spent walking along the cliffs and beaches stopping at the local drinking holes along the way

As other reviews say this really is top quality accommodation in a fantastic location. We stayed in Jacks House, it was clean, well equiped and extremely comfortable. This is far and away the best cottage accommodation we have stayed in, well done in providing quality and dog friendly accommodation.

If you're looking for 5 star luxury where you can bring your dogs this is it. The cottages are finished to a really high specification with everything you need to make them a home from home. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!

The cottage (Longdown) was beautifully decorated and fitted out (contemporary). The Proudfoot family know what is needed for a fabulous family holiday - and they provided it. The games barn and pool were a hit with my kids, the fields and walks down to the beach a hit with my dog!

We have just returned from a week long stay in Sandparks - one of Whalesborough's fantastic holiday cottages. We were promised 5 star - and we certainly got it! The cottages are absolutely spotless and equipped with absolutely everything you could want. Contemporary in design, they have been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. (In fact I would be VERY happy to have a home like that!). The cottages are pet friendly and for a small extra charge we were provided with a huge dog crate, covers for the sofa, a dog mat, poop bags and even a welcome chew for our beloved Jack Russell.

What a find! We stayed for two weeks in Westcotts at Whalesborough. We found the accommodation first class. It was spotless and was finished to a very high standard. It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone in to these cottages to make them luxurious and comfortable. The amenities both inside and outside were top notch! The kids (aged 12 and 10) loved the indoor barn and outside heated pool. The dog loved his comfortable bed, the enclosed garden and doggy treat on arrival along with the many different places to go for walks, and the adults.......... loved it all!. If you are looking for first class self catering accommodation in North Cornwall that has it all, then look no further than Whalesborough!

We happened upon this place on the off chance and boy! did we get lucky. Before the children we travelled the world a bit and were fortunate enough to stay in some special hotels, including a 6* and Whalesborough is right up with them. We stayed in 'Jacks House', a spacious, clean, well appointed and cosy 3 bed cottage.

My partner, our dog and I have just spent a fantastic week at Whalesborough Cottages helped by some glorious weather. The facilities are some of the best dog-friendly accommodation we have experienced, and the cottages are large, bright, modern and very clean.

Absolutely superb self catering - both for location and standard of accomodation. We stayed with 2 dogs in a beautiful converted barn. Everything was catered for, and as a dog friendly establishment they really lived up to it. A welcome pooch pack, and secure private garden area as well as loads of outside space for the dogs to enjoy in the adjoining fields.
