Wanting to start 2024 in style? We’re currently offering four nights for the price of three on all remaining cottages. Arriving on Friday 29th December, you’ll leave on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 – with that fourth night completely free!
With the hustle and bustle of Christmas out of the way, you’ll arrive on Friday 29th ready to celebrate the new year in this gorgeous part of Cornwall. With four nights for the price of three, all you need to do is work out how you’ll spend your time on the coast!
There’s two things you want at new year – plenty of time to enjoy it and plenty of time to recover! No matter what you do on the big night, we’ll be giving you that fourth night completely free. There’s no better way to start 2024.
Gather your group of friends or family around the log burner on an evening for a cosy movie night or game of cards – complete with snacks and blankets. By day, you can opt for an afternoon of relaxation at our state-of-the-art spa, chill in the jacuzzi, or get some lengths under your belt in one of our fantastic heated swimming pools.
It wouldn’t be a New Year’s celebration without delicious treats and nibbles – and at Whalesborough it’s no different. We’ll include an extra special New Year’s Hamper for you, packed with mouth-watering treats to see in 2024.
Whalesborough is the perfect place for families to call home this New Year. We’re a stone’s throw from the coast, set in the gorgeous Cornish countryside with great travel links no matter where you’re travelling from. Not only will you be in your own luxury cottage, there’s also the onsite spa, the Weir Restaurant, and plenty of areas to play and explore. Fancy venturing out for the day? You’re also within day-trip distance to the rest of Cornwall.
Feeling adventurous? There is a traditional New Year’s Day sea swim held each year at nearby Crooklet’s Beach in Bude – if you’re brave enough to take the plunge! If that’s not for you, take a dip in our heated Hydrotherapy pool, or soak up the warmth of the Sauna at our onsite Spa, The W Club.
We can’t emphasise how stunning the surrounding countryside at Whalesborough is; it’s the perfect place to get some fresh air and blow away the cobwebs over the New Year period. The walk down the canal to Bude is around three miles, but well worth exploring. If you’re headed in the other direction, then the Whalesborough trail will take you to Widemouth Bay. Both are flat, so great for any age or fitness level.
If you’re bringing the dog with you, they’re going to have as good a time as you do! All our cottages are dog-friendly and come with a doggy welcome pack to make them feel right at home for the New Year. The beaches at this time are all dog-friendly (but do check) and there’s an onsite shower to clean off those sandy paws. If you don’t head to the beach, there are plenty of walks to take and your canine companion is also very welcome in our onsite restaurant.
