How many cottages are there, and how big are they?
There are 26 luxury self-catering cottages, sleeping from 2 up to 8 guests depending on the property. There are also 22 Arvor Suites and the new Trelowen lodges, which sleep 4, 6 or 8.
What are the Arvor Suites?
The Arvor Suites are 22 contemporary apartment-style suites with a fully equipped kitchen, 20 of the 22 single-storey, ideal for couples and wellness breaks. They are sold as Wellness Stays and Packages from £175 per person, including breakfast and resort access.
What are the Trelowen lodges?
Trelowen lodges are contemporary, single-storey open-plan lodges with full-height windows and a private hot tub. They sleep 4, 6 or 8 and are available both to rent (from around £595 per night) and to own (from £425,000).
Do the cottages have hot tubs?
Many cottages and all Trelowen lodges have a private hot tub. Hot-tub availability is listed on each cottage's page and can be filtered when checking availability.

Does Whalesborough have a swimming pool?
Yes — two. The W Club has an indoor heated pool kept at 29–30°C year-round, plus a seasonal outdoor pool, open in summer. Pool access is included for resort guests.
What is in the W Club Spa?
The W Club Spa has the indoor heated pool, a sauna, a steam room and a Technogym fitness suite. Gaia spa treatments are bookable separately. Spa access is complimentary for guests staying on the resort.
Is spa access included in my stay?
Yes. Complimentary use of the W Club pool, sauna, steam room and gym is included with every cottage, suite and lodge stay. Spa treatments are an optional extra, booked in advance.
What are the swimming pool opening times?
The W Club indoor pool is heated to 29–30°C and there is a 17m × 8m outdoor pool open in summer, alongside a sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy. The pool is open Monday to Friday 7am–8pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am–7pm, with dedicated adults-only and children's swim times during the day. See the swimming pool page for the full timetable.
How much is W Club membership?
The W Club offers local membership separate from resort stays: Gym-only is £47 per month, and Full membership (Pool & Gym) is £77 per month for a single or £132 per month for couples, with a one-off £25 admin fee. Do you offer personal training and wellness checks?
Yes. The fitness suite is fully Technogym-equipped, with Personal Training from £40 per session (or 5 sessions for £165, 10 sessions for £280) and a Wellness Check assessment for £35. Find out more on the fitness page.

Is there a restaurant on site?
Yes — The Weir is Whalesborough's lakeside, working estate restaurant, using produce from the working farm and market garden. It is open to both resort guests and visitors; booking is recommended.
Can I get breakfast?
Arvor Suite packages include breakfast. Cottage and lodge guests are self-catering but can dine at The Weir, and a welcome pack is provided on arrival.
Is there a shop or market garden?
Whalesborough is a working farm with an organic market garden. Seasonal produce features on The Weir's menu and is part of the working estate ethos.
Where does The Weir source its food?
The Weir is a Working Estate kitchen that uses fresh Cornish produce from trusted local suppliers, alongside seasonal produce from the estate's own market garden — keeping the menu seasonal and rooted in the area.

Dogs & families

Is Whalesborough dog-friendly?
Yes — genuinely so. All 26 cottages welcome up to 2 dogs at no extra charge, each with an enclosed garden. There is a luxury pooch welcome pack on arrival, a heated dog wash, and 428 acres of private walking trails.
Is it good for young children?
Yes. There are farm animals to meet, a market garden, indoor and outdoor pools, safe estate grounds to explore and family beaches a few minutes away. Many cottages are sized for families of 4 to 8.
Are there walks from the resort?
The 428-acre estate has private trails directly from your door, linking towards Widemouth Bay and the North Cornwall coast. The South West Coast Path is close by.
How many dogs can I bring?
Up to 2 dogs per cottage, free of charge. House rules apply (dogs under control, picked up after, and not left unattended in the cottage).

Lodge ownership

Can I buy a lodge at Whalesborough?
Yes. The Trelowen lodges are for sale from £425,000, sold turnkey and fully furnished. Two lodges remain — a 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom. See the holiday home ownership page to register your interest.
Do I pay council tax or stamp duty on a lodge?
Trelowen lodges are leisure properties rather than residential dwellings, so there are no council tax bills and the residential second-home stamp duty surcharge does not apply in the same way. Always confirm your position with your own adviser.
Can I let my lodge out?
Yes, optionally. Owners can place their lodge into the managed letting programme operated in partnership with Landal; the team handles bookings, housekeeping, key handover and guest care, and owners receive an income statement. Letting is optional, not required.
How long can I use a lodge each year?
The site holds a 12-month holiday licence, so your lodge is available to use all year round. Lodges are licensed as holiday accommodation, not as a permanent residence.
